If you’ve seen LES MISÉRABLES either on stage or in the theatre you already know the famous story based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel. This much anticipated new stage production of the new 25th Anniversary Cameron Mackintosh production of Boublil & Schonberg’s masterpiece now in Toronto is a definite MUST SEE!
Canadian Ramin Karimloo stars as Jean Valjean and he is incredible! The singer nails every note and does it with every ounce of energy in him — his acting abilities are equally as powerful! Karimloo is well-known across the pond in the U.K. where he has spent most of his career playing titles roles such as much coveted role as the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera and he’s already exploded onto theatre scene on his home turf with all the worthwhile hype. He’s young but WOW is he ever talented!
This is definitely worth seeing even if you think you’ve seen it before. The stellar cast and the dazzling stage inspired by Victor Hugo’s paintings brings a fresh take on a classic tale of the human spirit. I’ve seen three other productions and hands down…this is the most powerful and stunning production!!
The musical is well-paced and entertaining on every level. There was not a dry eye in the house at the official opening night! The audience cheered at the end of every song and gave an emotional heart-swelling emotional standing ovation at the end. A truly remarkable performance by a solid cast.

IT IS SERIOUSLY THAT GOOD!
I found this YouTube clip of him singing “Bring Him Home” on BBC. He’s a good looking guy but I want you to just close your eyes and enjoy his incredible voice. He absolutely moves me to tears!
