Caitlin Power was born and raised in Calgary and studied Fashion Design in Lethbridge College. She established her own contemporary womenswear label in 2008. She currently lives in Toronto and her designs have gained international attention. Her pieces are often seen in national fashion magazines and on TV show hosts. Her look is powerful, confident and sophisticated.

While many of the shows I had attended during fashion week featured less structured and lots of neutrals, Caitlin Power continued on with her signature stronger images in the Spring Summer 2014 women’s wear collection.

Sleek lines and bolder colours were featured in the tailored pieces. Suit detailing angled subtly in non-traditional ways that are flattering to a woman’s bodyshape. Leather fabrics in chevron patterns lead the eye to where you want to be noticed…and away from where you wouldn’t want any attention! Definitely makes you slow down and take a look! Careful honey, it’s hot!

The bold and daring colours of olive green and fire orange gives the collection an exciting punch that is a more rebellious in a spring collection. Definitely my favourite pieces of this collection! LOVED IT!

Also noted were great pieces of understated , yet edgy,  jewellery from the well-loved company Pandora. The leather bracelet with charms is an updated look that is perfect for evening and day wear.
