One of my favourite contemporary art exhibitions is The Artist Project in Toronto. This annual show features some of Canada’s most progressive artists. From seasoned collectors and first time buyers, visitors can explore over 250 artists that will be exhibiting. The Artist Project celebrates it’s 7th year from February 20 to 23, 2014 at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto. We’ll be at the Opening Night Party this evening and will check out what’s new and noteworthy.
On our radar is the highly anticipated MeU art, fashion and tech installation. MeU is where fashion and technology merge in the next wave of wearable tech. The LED matrix is embedded into removable fabrics and controlled by a smartphone device via bluetooth. Messaging just got a whole lot cooler and way more fun!
This particular art installation is a collaboration with fashion designers Paria Shirvani, Masha Ruginets and Bonnie Yang and curated by art dealer & lawyer Vandana Taxali.
Messages that will be displayed will be in support of Cancer awareness.
