Style Report: Trout Rainwear makes a splash!

Spring is coming…this week. I believe! I really believe! And while it’s also fashion week here in the city there are a few things we need to keep in mind. Style and function is a necessity. In the extreme weather it’s even more important to have the right gear. Hey, it’s bad enough when it rains and my hair is unruly but if you’ve got the right “armour” to deal with nature’s elements then trust me, people still think you’ll look great even if you feel like a wet puppy.

Trout Rainwear is known for their chic city looks while being completely functional. This one year old company has stepped up with their second capsule collection so you can step out without fear. You’ll look good transitioning from day to night with ease and style.

Trout RainwearCheck this out! They don’t just look great but all designs are made 100% waterproof with heat sealed tape that is applied to every seam. In addition, the raincoats are universally flattering that’s to subtle details like oversized hoods and collars. Long slender arms add to the sleekness of the designs. Features include contrast linings in colourful Liberty of London prints.

The line is designed by Sarah Hopgood, a graduate from Parsons in New York who interned with Theory and then landed at Ports 1961 in China. With an understanding of the garment industry she returned to the Canadian fashion industry  with The Hudson’s Bay Company’s private labels before  becoming the head designer for Trout.

Trout RainwearDesigned in Toronto and made in Vancouver, the line is now available online at troutrainwear.com and at selected Holt Renfrew stores across Canada. U.S. and international shipping is also available.

Hey, we know rain, right?
