Ottawa’s Chinatown Remixed Arts Festival

Ottawa’s Chinatown will host it’s sixth annual Chinatown Remixed arts festival May 17 to June 17. The 2014 festival will feature the works of over 40 visual artists, free kid-friendy workshops, free concerts, and yam bombing! WHAT?

Chinatown Remixed promotes contemporary art in Ottawa’s Chinatown and will highlight visual and performing arts in various locations throughout the community including restaurants, offices, grocery stores and alleyways.

Photo courtesy of Chinatown RemixedThe month long festival will kick-off officially on May 17th events that includes day-long vernissage at various locations along Somerset Street West, between Bay and Preston Streets.

From 1pm to 5 pm wander through Chinatown and check out the art. From 5pm to 11 pm there will be an after-party in the parking lots of Shanghai Restaurant and ZenKitchen. Highjinx will be also running a night market.
