When is it time to refresh your beauty routine?

I always consider spring the season to take inventory not just at home but life in general. It may be time to switch up your beauty regime as the weather changes and you may find that your current products may not be working as well for you. I don’t feel like I need a lot of rich creams and lotions this time of year so it’s a good time to re-assess what I’m using.

I’ve been recently introduced to a Canadian made line called Refresh Botanicals. What’s appealing about this line is that it brings us back to nature and the goodness the earth has provided. The company actually was started as an idea from Canadian farmers. They knew that Canada has an abundance of natural resources and they wanted to tap into what the country is blessed with along with other natural ingredients found around the world. The other thinking was to make the line not only good for you, but also at more accessible price points. Why not make great products and be able to offer it to more people? I like that thinking! As someone who will spend on great beauty products I’m happy to hear this. I firmly believe that good stuff shouldn’t just be in a luxury market but rather we all are deserving of the best that we can get.

Heather Ogden for Refresh BotanicalsIs it time to refresh your routine? At the launch event for Refresh Botanicals, principal ballerina Heather Ogden explained that even she had to recently adjust her daily routine. As a new mom, you would think she would tell you that she has very little time for herself and that would make her change up how she does things. But while this may be true, she also pointed out that she is more aware of what she puts on her body is equally as important as what she puts in. What she’s realized is that whatever choices she makes, she now also considers what she’s also exposing to her baby. Another great reason to refresh!

Having a glance at the company’s Everyday Care Line I was interested in finding out more about the benefits of the products. For example, the Daily Facial Moisturizer ($18.99/100mL) hydrates without an oily appearance and helps prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s made of sweet almond, jojoba and coconut oils. We’ll be looking forward to trying this out!

This line is 88.35% organic and contains no gluten, animal by-products, artificial fragrances, parabens or petroleum by products.
