Addiction to Crack (Pie)

When Momofuku Milk Bar was rumoured to open up in Toronto last month, foodies were all giddy with excitement. The anticipation of getting our own slice of the New York’s famous Crack Pie had us salivating. We no longer needed to get our “fix” by going across the border.

Christina Tossi, head pastry chef at the Milk Bar explained at one of the opening events that Toronto was a logical spot to the first outpost of the bakery. Within close proximity to border, she feels comfortable knowing that the products can be freshly baked and shipped without compromising the quality and taste. “I want to know that someone in Toronto will get the exact same Crack Pie as they would from one of our Milk Bars at home,” said Tossi.

Does it live up to it’s hype? ABSOLUTELY!

Crack Pie is sweet…sooooooo sweeeeeeet! I admit that I may just be a little addicted. And it leaves you wanting more! You’ve got to try it if  you haven’t already! The pie is sold by the slice or whole.
