Style Report: Stolen Riches Loves Smythe Collaboration

The design team behind the label Smythe has announced their collaboration with another iconic Canadian brand, Stolen Riches in their spring 2014 collection.

“We are so excited to collaborate with our long-time friends an fellow Canadian designers at Smythe,” says David Barclay, Owner, Stolen Riches. “Andrea, Christie and I share a similar passion for modern, contemporary innovation and look forward to reaching our customers together.”

Each Smythe College Blazer will come with Stolen Riches Portsalon Red shoelaces. “We love the birght red, gold-tipped brogue laces which work as the perfect compliment ot hte preppy east coast sensibility of our College Blazer,” says Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe, Designers and Co-Founders of Smythe.

Smythe is known for their modern tailored jackets and coats in nostalgic colours, textures and prints that are distinct in their traditional menswear tailoring details. The line launched in 2004 and gained instant recognition for its classic, yet modern playful feel. Celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively and others have been spotted in Smythe.

Stolen Riches has been making laces for over four generations and through two World Wars. The family-run business has been producing shoe laces since 1915 but recently with more colour and offering a distinct detailing that is reflective of the style-conscious individual.
