When I had first found out about the Apple Watch I was honestly excited. Apple is a brand that I’ve grown up with and no other “smart watch” I had tested out previous to the Apple Watch could cater to my needs as well as my wants of looking stylish enough to wear every day. From the moment it was released into the Canadian market, I was on board whole-heartedly. To this day, I still wear the Watch and actively use it.
I admit that the first few months I felt like an unofficial walking spokesperson. Everywhere I went people would stop and ask me about it and why I was so quick to lead the bandwagon. But what’s more important is that it has stayed with me. It’s been easy to navigate and yes, it’s been helpful in my daily life. Ever had your smartphone taken away from you at a movie theatre for a pre-screen? I can still access my emails, texts, and calls via Bluetooth when my iPhone is sitting in a brown paper bag outside the theatre. Expecting an important text and you’re in a meeting and it’s rude to have your phone out? I don’t worry about that anymore. My Apple Watch gives me a gentle tap to let me know so I don’t miss a thing.
Style is just as important to me. I don’t want to be confined to one colour or one style so I change mine up depending on situation. I can play with the colour choices in bands – now I have five in my collection.
The Apple Watch launched the Hermès collection last fall. Think Apple technology together with Hermès beauty, tradition and luxury. Three styles offered in the collection includes Single Tour, Double Tour and Cuff in complete systems (case and band) and continues to be offered by in Fauve Barenia only.
The Single Tour pays homage to Hermès history in the equestrian world. Noted is the subtle design and the metal buckle was inspired by the straps of a horse’s girth. The Double Tour wraps around twice for a contemporary elegant look while the “cuff” style is playful giving fashion lovers a fun variation.
The dial designs are modeled after iconic Hermès timepieces. Cape Cod, Clipper and Espace are all recognizable to Hermès fans internationally.
The latest news? Apple Watch Hermès owners will have more stylish options this Spring season. The selection of bands will now be sold, for the first time, separately (starting April 19) and will be joining a whole new collection of Single Tour and Double Tour bands — in Hermès colours including Bleu Paon (Green), Bleu Saphir, Blanc (white) and the iconic Hermès colour, Feu (Orange) will join the existing line up of bands including Fauve, Noir, Capucine and Etain.
The Apple Watch Hermès is currently available online and at select Apple retail stores, Hermès stores, specialty stores and department stores.
