Getting a Taste of Iceland

It seems like everyone I know is going to Iceland for a getaway.  I’ve booked to go in the coming months as I’ve had romantic notions of seeing the Northern Lights and dipping into the Blue Lagoon. I’m pretty excited to embrace nighttime outings bundled up to gaze up at the starry sky and spending my days exploring the culinary and art scene in Reykjavik!

If Iceland is also on your “bucket list” and you’re hoping to do a little research on what the country has to offer, mark your calendars for the upcoming Taste of Iceland. From November 10 to 13, 2016 in Toronto, you’ll get a glimpse of the music, arts, films, and yes, food of Iceland! You’ll probably find me at a few events!

Here’s a list of what’s happening…

Tasting Menu at JUMP restaurant (November 10 -12)

Toronto welcomes one of Iceland’s premier chefs, Sigurður Helgason, executive chef of the highly acclaimed Grillið Restaurant. Helgason has collaborated with Jump’s newly appointed chef de cuisine, Chef Miheer to put together a four-course prix fixe menu for $75. Menu highlights include cod with cauliflower three ways, char-grilled fillet of lamb and a Brennivin-infused Icelandic mulled wine. To RSVP click here.
