Sneak Peek: Carine Roitfeld x Uniqlo Canada

Fashion collaborations are often sought after. It’s an opportunity to step into  styles that are created by some of the most influential in the industry from designers to celebrities. More than often, collaboration pieces are accessible (if you can get them fast enough). We mix and match pieces into our lifestyles while taking a page out of theirs.

Carine Roitfeld’s collection comes to Uniqlo Canada (available November 11) in limited quantities and we’re excited!  The former Editor-in-Chief of French Vogue and Editor-in-Chief of CR Fashion Book has a timeless and modern style that is admired globally.

Partnering with Uniqlo is a match made in heaven and complements the brand’s identity. Roitfeld signature style is not about trends but about a sense of refinement and of quality. Her collection has staying power and having seen her previous collection in the US, I can tell you that pieces are designed to elongate your silhouette (hey, I’m 5 ft 2inches and her pieces make me feel and appear a few inches taller) and makes me pretty invincible!

The latest collection continues to show Roitfeld’s edgy-but-classy style. With the holiday season coming up I’m eyeing the long cape coat. Her suits appear as though they were tailor-made. Look for a more sophisticated take on military look that is more feminine. The line also includes more pieces that flatter our figures with elegant fitted waistlines and slight flare on jackets. Of course you’ll also find her favourite animal print (Leopard) scattered in several pieces.

Two Uniqlo stores are now open in Toronto: CF Eaton Centre and Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Here are just a few pieces that are on our shopping list…
